Service of Process or Process Service
The procedure by which legal notice is given to a party (such as a defendant or respondent). Additionally, it is an exercise of jurisdiction over the party by a court or administrative body, and enables the party to respond to the proceeding before the court or administrative body.
Personal Service
Direct or in-hand delivery (as defined by law) of legal documents, such as a writ, summons and complaint, appearance, criminal summons, suboena or other court notice or order, to the party (respondent/defendant, plaintiff/petitioner or other party).
Copy Service
Service on the party by leaving a copy of the legal documents at the address listed on the documents (or given by the customer). Aaron M. Rader Process Service will also mail a copy of same to the person or business at the same address.
